Sports for All Board of Directors praise Federation’s year-long push for health and wellness in the Kingdom

Board expresses admiration for Q4 results together with 2020 accomplishments across events, partnerships, and communications

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) Board of Directors met for its final session of 2020, the Q4 appraisal and the annual end of year review.

The meeting was the Board’s third to take place via online conferencing, and was Chaired by Federation President, HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud. In addition to Prince Khaled, SFA Board members include Saudi Ambassador to the United States, HRH Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud (former Federation President), Mr. Firass Alkassim, Mr. Faris Alturki, Dr. Ghazi bin Zager, Mr. Ayman Alfallaj, Ms. Lina Almaeena, Mr. Omar Al-Madhi, and Mr. Fawaz Farooqui.

Prince Khaled shared the results of the historic first season of the community-level Women’s Football League (WFL), noting the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and the support of the Quality of Life program in making the inaugural competition a success. He also informed the Board of the launch of the first-ever Global Goals World Cup Saudi Arabia, and its link to bringing the UN Sustainable Development Goals to life.

SFA Managing Director, Ms. Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini, presented the Federation’s various programs over the quarter including its four-race Cycling Tournament, two iterations of Step Together, and the expat youth swim program. She also shared the social impact results of a collaboration with KSU Movement, and the details of the SFA’s recently penned partnership with retail giant Majid AlFuttaim, amongst other achievements over the past year.

SFA’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Mr. Osamah Saleh Alnuaiser, showcased the results to date of the recently launched SFA Rewards program. He highlighted that the successful execution of the mobile app and gamification schema met one of the Federation’s benchmarks in digitization. Mr. Alnuaiser also informed the Board of the SFA’s recent awards of distinction granted for two 2020 campaigns, and the Federation’s inclusion in the UN DESA report.

Prince Khaled concluded the meeting by thanking the Board members for their valued advice and continued attention to SFA developments.
