SFA wraps up the Wazen sports challenge in collaboration with Nahdi Medical Company

More than 575 million steps were taken by 3300 participants throughout the challenge

The Wazen Sports challenge has concluded its 28-day run on the SFA App. Launched in collaboration with Nahdi Medical Company, the challenge saw participants competing to hit 5,000 steps per day and 140,000 steps over the duration of the challenge.

Over 3300 people from across the Kingdom took part in the challenge, which awarded its first 500 participants a SR 200 gift card from Nahdi and an additional voucher worth SR 100 to 1000 other participants.

The SFA is keen to launch such challenges regularly in its continued efforts to encourage people across the Kingdom to stay active on for a healthier and more active community and to fulfill the objectives Quality of Life Program, one of the Kingdom’s most important Vision 2030 initiatives.

The SFA and Nahdi Medical Company have worked together closely after the last year, signing a Memorandum of Understanding in December 2021 to launch joint initiatives that foster a vibrant and active community within Saudi Arabia

The Wazen Challenge marks the second time the SFA and Nahdi have launched a challenge to activate the community, with many more to come later this year. Last Ramadan, the Ehsan Sports Challenge saw more than 3,726 participations, over 112 million completed steps and SR 64,000 worth of donations.

Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sport, The SFA is mandated to boost the percentage of active people in the Kingdom to 40% by 2030.
